I'm sure some of you can relate.

Yes. I once stood in the Goodwood bike paddock before a race with all the early 20 century machinery warming up. The noise was off the scale

Laguna Seca, Superbike race back in the day. Tooth rattling.

Damn, I'm jealous.

Worst decision of my life: ridding a motorcycle. Now I can't just buy/build cars and be happy... always have to budget money and space for bikes too.

Could be worse, could be boats.

Everyone I work with has boats (last place it was planes). I will never have one of those holes in the water where you throw money... but motorcycles are just so much fun and just cheap enough you feel like you can collect them.

That. Norton looks magnificent.

BIKELOPNIK is killing me!

Absolutely. Dirty, oily, noisy. Just as it should be. They are louder than the same period cars. Real, ground shaking, thunderously noisy

I apologize in advance for being your cause of death, lol.

One of my uncles had a boat which he only used twice before selling it. Bought it for $4,500 but sank over ten grand into it...

Oh man that's awesome. Though I wish they'd anodize the shocks to match either the tank or brown seat. Shiny gold looks out of place on an old-frame, old-motor bike. Ditto on brembo white-lettering cause it draws attention to the radial mount brakes. Diff strokes diff folks tho. This thing certainly looks fun to ride!

The guys at work have sail boats and one has a yacht... talk about a money sink. Every year they are dumping thousands into just keeping them somewhere, let alone maintaining them.

My jaw dropped. and something else rose up... Beautiful!

You really are lol. I've been scouring CL for a decent Yamaha XJ to build and now I'm looking a Triumphs as well. Would be fine if I could just get one, but they're so inexpensive I keep thinking "why not both?".
The killing part will be at the hand of my lady. She likes motorcycles, but thinks I'm losing my mind on all these old cafe racers lol.

This one bike is responsible for my lack of sane buying decisions (not this exact bike, but the Triumph Bonneville in general). The love affair I have had with this platform and its insane amount of customizability(...) has made me fall in love with so many vintage bikes, its incredible.
This particular example is superb.
